Lost in Space Java kioskWe worked with the java technology company Apunix to develop the interface for one of the first touchscreen Java-based kiosk systems. Housed within a fiberglass Lost in Space robot shell, the kiosk was powered by Sun Microsystems' Ultra-SPARC computer. Created in accord with the release of Lost in Space, these 9 foot tall versions of the robot were placed in movie theatres nationwide.
Sun's Scott McNealy even requested one of the robots to accompany him onstage during his keynote at the '98 JavaOne conference.
